Sophia Bianchi is an American filmmaker from Northern Virginia. While throughout high school, she held her first Nikon N75 35mm SLR film camera that produced black and white film, which was given to her by her grandfather. She had captured many shots with this camera and developed the prints in a darkroom. With further experience in the film environment, she has found her passion is in scriptwriting and directing. She has always been passionate about watching drama films and series’ from a young age which led to a greater passion of producing and writing drama short films. She has worked on many student projects directing and producing, was a casting director for an internship, and has written many short films as well as an entire first act of a feature film, “Turning Tables”. Sophia is currently pursuing a BFA in Film and Media Arts at The University of Tampa.
