TITLE: Poltergeist Poster Recreation
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing
PROFESSOR: Chip Neville
SEMESTER: Fall 2022
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: My final project for digital drawing was to combine all the elements of illustrator I had learned; the pen tool, text, geometric tools, layering and more. We had to select a popular horror movie and recreate the title on illustrator. This project was fun because it gave me the chance to go back and watch poltergeist and notice thematic properties I could include in my project.

TITLE: Pen Tool – Lady Trace
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing
PROFESSOR: Chip Neville
SEMESTER: Fall 2022
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This project focused on the pen tool. After being given a real photo of this lady, it was my job to use the pen tool and trace, overlap, and change the opacities until I had the proper finished result. This project helped me realize how many shortcuts you can take when using the pen tool if you have a good understanding and organization of the layering. It also taught me there are a million different ways to get the similar result in illustrator.

TITLE: Farm Creation – Geometrical Tools
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing
PROFESSOR: Chip Neville
SEMESTER: Fall 2022
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This assignment tasked me with making a farm by only using the geometric tools as well as the sheering tool. This was one of the harder illustrator assignments I completed. The fencing was super hard to distort and the millions of fence legs were very hard to sheer into a shadow as well. Overall, it gave me a better understanding of how you can alter the geometric tools to create an effect to your own liking.

TITLE: Gradient Mesh Tool
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing
PROFESSOR: Chip Neville
SEMESTER: Fall 2022
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: The gradient mesh tool was easily the most difficult thing to learn on illustrator. There were such large quantities of gridding and plotting I had to complete to achieve the smallest curve on the face of my character. However, it helped me understand how I can try and make subjects look a little more 3-D-like and stick off the screen more. Creating the defining features of the face was the hardest part, but it is a great tool to now understand.

TITLE: Mega-Man Pen Tool Trace
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Allen Hampton
SEMESTER: Spring 2021
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This was my first assignment ever using illustrator. The intricate design of the character “Mega-Man” was certainly a challenge, but I was very excited to learn how to use this software. It was very useful learning how to layer each body part, but also helpful to understand the importance and depth that shadowing can build. After this project, I had a great knowledge on the pen tool and it helped me with so many classes down the road.
