DESCRIPTION:  Along with the script for my final film in FMX 341, we were also tasked with creating a script breakdown to help with the producing side of preproduction. This was the first time I had made a breakdown so it was a very effective way in helping visualize essential props, wardrobe, setting, and other various factors that would be essentials for my groups film. Having this version of the script was also super helpful on set – being able to look at the color coding made it very easy to organize ourselves on set.

DESCRIPTION: This breakdown sheet was just one of the six sheets my group had laid out for our film. With corresponding color coding, it was easy to bounce between documents, but also keep a list of essential items for our film. It also was great with helping us plan out vehicles and locations that we would need to assemble as well.

SEMESTER / TERM: Fall 2023
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Although the university gives us a lot of accommodations for our film shooting, creating a realistic budget is a great way to prepare for the real world of producing and what to expect when creating a short film. This budget sheet helped me envision the tasks I might undergo in the future, but also helped me realize how thankful I am for the equipment and shooting spaces the university offers us students.

DESCRIPTION: Creating a scouting location was a an essential part of planning out my film, Sneaked. DESCRIPTION: One of the most important aspects of preproduction is the shot list. This is just one of the seven scenes we had created a shot list for, but without it, the shooting days would be a stressful storm. It was also crucial for me as a director because it allowed me and the cinematographer the chance the compare views and perspectives on each shot and which ones would be more resonate within the film.
