DESCRIPTION: Our final for sound in media was to create a 15 minute long score of anything of our choosing. I chose The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Video Game. It was already known for the renowned soundtrack it possessed so I wanted to take on the challenge of making my own score. I chose a very euphoric and relaxing score and had a blast messing around on the sound board. It also helped I had played the piano for years so I was very aware of how to work the soundboard. Finding the perfect sounds and keys to play was very difficult and it was a long process, but I’m glad I can find so much peace and nostalgia in this project.

DESCRIPTION: The goal of this project was to add a new score to a popular movie scene. Looking back I discovered that this scene from Dark Knight Rises never had a score and was just silence – so I thought it would be the perfect score to attempt creating. I messed around with a lot of subtle bass like batman movies typically do – I didn’t want the score to ruin the iconic dialogue. I also tried to match a lot of synth with whenever one of the two was hit by the other. I think it made the circumstances seems even more dire, which I was pleased with.

DESCRIPTION: This was a score I had created using certain instruments, but also noises around my neighborhood. I was surprised with how eerie the final result came to be. Although the track is a little repetitive, I love identifying the sound I pulled from online and the sound I filmed on my own. The end result was this very gloomy yet somewhat tranquil soundtrack.
