DESCRIPTION: The “Fragmented Video” piece is comprised of six different videos edited into one. I wanted to make the video about someone being stalked, and after asking my friends to be in it one of them said yes. I took videos of her around her apartment in ways that made it look like she was being watched. I also took some B-roll of her room as if she wasn’t present and the stalker was there without her knowing. At the end, she receives a text from her stalker to which she looks up in the mirror and makes eye contact with the camera before it cuts to black. I then edited the videos together in Adobe Premiere Pro and color corrected them to make them colder before adding the sound in the background. This video would later be used as the main focus in the Small Scale Projection assignment.

DESCRIPTION: This piece was inspired by the ongoing police brutality in America on people of color. We were given the phrase “Embrace the Error” and make a one minute video art piece that shows how you interpret the phrase. My mind immediately went to police brutality and how it is a very big and harmful error that America has that needs to be fixed. I compiled stock video of different police brutality incidents caught on camera and then using my editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, I put them all together to make this piece. I also found copyright free music online, which helped enhance the vision of my video.

DURATION: 1’00”

DESCRIPTION: To test my editing skills, I was tasked with creating a promotional video using a library of stock video. After looking in the library, I gathered a bunch of videos that look like someone is going to a coffee shop. This is how I decided I would make a promotional video for coffee for this assignment. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the videos together, and then I added an audio track behind it. To finish it off, I created the tagline at the end “Live Life Caffeinated”. I’ve always been interested in the video editing process, and this was a good way to test my understanding of basic Premiere Pro skills.
