TITLE: Buda Dreamhouse
MY ROLE: Animator
SOFTWARE: Unreal Engine
HARDWARE: Dell XPS 2022
DURATION: 1’10”
DIMENSIONS: 1200 x 1800px
CLASS: FMX 430 – Spatial Computing
PROFESSOR: Gregg Perkins
SEMESTER: FA 23
INSTITUTION: The University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This was the final project for this class, and we had the option to choose whatever we wanted. For my project I thought it would be fun to do a mockup of what my dream house would look like. I installed multiple assets from the Epic Games store and used them to my liking. I tried to go for a more modern look on the house and in total there was around 9 different sections of the house. I wish I did a better job with decoration in some of the rooms and the setting of where it took place as well as some of the camera movements.
TITLE: Camping Architecture Reel
MY ROLE: Animator
SOFTWARE: Unreal Engine
HARDWARE: Dell XPS 2022
DURATION: 0’51”
DIMENSIONS: 1200 x 1800px
CLASS: FMX 430 – Spatial Computing
PROFESSOR: Gregg Perkins
SEMESTER: FA 23
INSTITUTION: The University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For this project we had to create some type of architecture. I was looking through the epic games store and noticed a bunch of different camping assets. I used to go on a camping trip every year for about 5 years, so I thought it would be fun to take inspiration from those trips. I built it in a mountain because I wanted it to give that isolation feeling you get when you’re actually camping. After starting to get a feel for Unreal Engine, I would definitely say this is one of my favorite projects I did in this class.

TITLE: Nuke town VR Map
MY ROLE: Animator
SOFTWARE: Unreal Engine
HARDWARE: Dell XPS 2022
DIMENSIONS: 1200 x 1800px
CLASS: FMX 430 – Spatial Computing
PROFESSOR: Gregg Perkins
SEMESTER: FA 23
INSTITUTION: The University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This was our first project in this class and also my first time using Unreal Engine. The software seemed extremely complex at first but after some time, I realized it’s fairly similar to some other 3D graphics software I’ve used, and I got the hang of it pretty quick. The goal for this project was to create a VR map for a game. I took inspiration from the nuke town from ‘Indiana Jones’ and made a map where you journey around an abandoned town, trying to solve puzzles in different buildings that eventually lead you out to escape. But the catch here is there is a giant nuke above your head and there is a timer until that nuke explodes. Unfortunately, I did not get to the actual games function part, but designing the map was a lot of fun. Doing projects like was interesting too because in other 3d software’s like Maya, I learned how to model characters and objects, but here I am learning how to create entire environments and game levels.
