DESCRIPTION: In this project we were asked to create a character made out of typography. The character I chose to go with is “Emmet” from “The Lego Movie”. I was able to use to an image of him as a reference and all of the words he is made out of is a culmination of different character names, character traits, or quotes throughout the film. The hardest part of this project was bending the deforming the words the proper to get the get the right shape but also make sure it doesn’t look too messy since all the words are very close together.

SEMESTER: FA 21

DESCRIPTION: For this I decided to remake the character Yoshi. What’s unique about this character is every single part of him was made from a shape. There were no pencils or tracing or paint brushes, it’s all made out of shapes. The hardest part about this project as making sure certain shapes were too rigid. In other words, there were shapes that were much easier to create than others and the challenging part was smoothing out the shapes so that it looks neat and organized.

TITLE: Buda Graphic Design Logos
MY ROLE: Digital Artist
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
HARDWARE: Dell XPS 2022
DIMENSIONS: 600 x 800px
CLASS: ART 110 – Foundations in Digital Arts
PROFESSOR: Joshua Haddad
SEMESTER: SP 23
INSTITUTION: The University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: In this project we were asked to create different logos. In total I made 5 different logos with at least 10-15 different iterations of each one. In the image above was the final product for one of the logos in both color and black & white. This logo in particular is an idea I had if I were to start my own graphic design company. The hardest and most important part of this project was being able to use references to get ideas but making sure I don’t create something that looks similar to something else. I wanted my logos to stand out be unique and not some off-brand of a logo that already exists.
