TITLE: “The Dark Side of Tampa”
MY ROLE: Editor
SOFTWARE: MadMapper, Premiere Pro
DIMENSIONS: 1920 X 1080px
DURATION: 2’13”
CLASS: Multimedia Installation
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER: FA 23
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This was the final project for this class, and I ended up having to do a small-scale projection. The items I used were a small wooden cut-out of a cloud, a Styrofoam cooler, and a fake plant. For the videos I decided I would take different clips of fun things I have done in Florida and have those start playing at first. This is to make it seem like Florida is nice fun area, but then the videos glitch and you start to see clips of all the bad stuff that happens in Tampa. The point of this was to show that Tampa isn’t all as nice as it seems and there is a darker side to it.

TITLE: “Large Scale Projection”
MY ROLE: Editor
SOFTWARE: MadMapper, Premiere Pro
DIMENSIONS: 1920 X 1080px
DURATION: 1’34”
CLASS: Multimedia Installation
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER: FA 23
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This was the large-scale projection project we did in this class and this one went way better than the small scale. This time I figured out how to project them properly without the Mad Mapper interface interfering. I also went through a couple different integrations of my setup, for example the door was never a part of my original idea, but it ended up being my favorite thing to project on. For the videos being projected, I took clips from different movies I like and compiled them together to create a type of edit with added effects.

DESCRIPTION:
This was the first projection project we did in this class. It was my first time really using a projector for something like this and also my first time using MadMapper. I bought different basic shapes from a store and used those to project onto. I had trouble with the actual projections because I didn’t set it up properly where the MadMapper interface would still show up in the final product.
