DESCRIPTION: The Mundane Moonrise Cover Art was created for my personal lofi beat-tape. The reference photo was taken by David Johnston –a landscape photographer– and was recreated in Illustrator using the blob-brush tool and the color-grabber tool. Layering was very important, as the sky, mountains, trees, and moon were isolated to create an animation which was used for the Spotify Canvas. The moon was edited in photoshop, using the gradient tool, and a glow blending adjustment. This project took about 15 hours to complete.

DESCRIPTION: The Illustrator Self Portrait was my first exposure with the blob brush tool in Adobe Illustrator. A personal picture was used for reference and color sampling, with the blob brush tool being to recreate the photo in a vectorized format. Various brush textures were used for representing hair. The background and pedestal are calls to the vaporwave digital art style.
