Various EFX were applied (distortion, amp emulation, reverb, eq, chorus) to the guitar. Drum sounds were added from various packs I&#8217;ve accumulated over the years. Counter melodies were created using Serum and Omnisphere, played on the Akai MPK Mini. Effects like Halftime and Shaperbox 2 were used for transitions and slower sections. 808 was imported and pitched to be in key, then played using the MPK Mini. During arrangement, filters were applied to the guitar to create a clear sectional change in the audio (transition at 0:40-0:48). The full drum loop was bounced, and a filter was created with Fab Filter Pro Q3, with the bands being automated. This is used during the bridge (1:00-1:13). Lo-Fi effects were applied to give the sound a warm but dusty flavor. Drum sounds were loaded in using Battery 4 and programmed using pattern regions. Closed hi-hats were programmed via Midi region to add humanizing features, such as random velocity and off-grid timing in certain spots. Bass was created by modifying a sample within Serum, a VST. Drums were programmed using a mix of MIDI and Pattern regions, with sounds being loaded in from Battery 4 &#8212; a VST drum kit designer. The bass was created by modifying a preset from 808 Studio 2. Automation was written in Latch mode using the knobs provided on the Akai MPK Mini and Akai MIDIMix. This is achieved by using Logic&#8217;s MIDI Learn option (Command+L) to bind MIDI information to a specific parameter on a plugin or track. Various effects were applied to blend the sounds together.
