TITLE: Mixed Rotoscope
MEDIA: Rotoscope Animation
SOFTWARE: Photoshop
HARDWARE: PC
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
TERM: SP 20
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This is a mixed rotoscope animation I did using Photoshop. We were tasked to record a video of ourselves and then draw on each frame of it. It took a lot of time to complete this project since at the time I was pretty new to the software and techniques used. I decided to blend reality and animation to produce a unique effect. The final result of my first attempt at animating was really rewarding.
TITLE: Tennis Ball
MEDIA: 2D Animation
SOFTWARE: Harmony
HARDWARE: PC
CLASS: FMX 238 2D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
TERM: FA 23
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This tennis ball animation was created using Harmony, marking my first experience with both the software and animating without a reference. Tasked with animating a moving ball, I decided to incorporate an action element by simulating a struck tennis ball. The animation features the ball rotating and squishing upon impact. It was fun getting to learn new software, but for these simple animations, I preferred using Procreate, which I did for the next assignments.
TITLE: S A C K
MEDIA: 2D Animation
SOFTWARE: Procreate
HARDWARE: I Pad
CLASS: FMX 238 2D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
TERM: FA 23
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: “S A C K” is a 2D animation created using Procreate. For this assignment, I was first tasked to draw a sack doing different and dynamic poses so that I could get used to its shape and movement. Once I understood its behavior, I began animating. I wanted to animate a happy and playful sack character, which I did by making him jump and dance. I was really pleased with the final result.
TITLE: W E I G H T
MEDIA: 2D Animation
SOFTWARE: Procreate
HARDWARE: I Pad
CLASS: FMX 238 2D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
TERM: FA 23
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: “W E I G H T” is a 2D animation created using Procreate. For this assignment, I was tasked to animate someone lifting something heavy, using a real video as a reference. This project was really helpful in understanding how to animate a real human organically. I was really happy with the final result, as it almost looked as if it was a rotoscope animation when it was not.
