DESCRIPTION: “M U L T I P L I C I T Y” is a project where I combined different images into one. As I was in the process of moving during this project, it provided an ideal scenario to take photos as if I were handling the entire move by myself. I used a homemade tripod to ensure consistent framing across all images. After capturing the shots, I used Photoshop to cut myself out of each photo and assemble everything against an empty background. This was my first time using Photoshop and it was a lot of fun.

DESCRIPTION: “S O M E W H E R E” is a project where I put myself inside a frame from Back to the Future. When I was tasked to do this project, I was very hesitant about which movie to use, so I decided to go with my stepdad’s favorite film. I took a photo of myself against a white wall, striking a pose that would fit well within the frame of the chosen movie scene. Using Photoshop, I meticulously cut out my image and integrated it into the frame. I then adjusted the colors for a seamless match, giving the final result an authentic, movie-like appearance. I really enjoyed doing this project, and my step dad loved it.

DESCRIPTION: This poster was a freelance job I did for a University of Georgia professor. The task was to design a poster for the Muslim Women and Comics event at the University of Georgia. This was my first time doing a freelance job and designing a poster of this kind. I began by sketching an initial and sent it for approval. Once approved, I selected a color palette and incorporated an image provided by the professor. I also chose a font that conveyed a comic-inspired aesthetic without resorting to Comic Sans. After finalizing the design, I submitted it and received positive feedback. However, looking back at it I’m sure I’m capable of doing better now.
