TITLE: Alzheimers Autoscopy
MEDIA: Digital Image
SOFTWARE: Adobe Photoshop
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER: Fall 2021
DESCRIPTION:
This assignment was an incredibly cathartic experience. The goal of the Autoscopy was to take a picture of yourself and to express something deep and personal to you. I decided to target a big fear of mine which is forgetting and being forgotten. Alzheimers has affected my grandmother and runs heavily on her side of the family. For my Autoscopy I used a photo in which I had very little detail in my face in order to reflect my fear of forgetting to distinguish faces, a common symptom of alzheimers. I then used a background image of an Alzheimer patients brain scan. Like death the idea of being forgotten and forgetting is difficult to process. Since I couldn’t put my fear and anxiety into words I decided to put it into this piece.

TITLE: HTML Iron Giant
MEDIA: Digital Image
SOFTWARE: Adobe Dream Weaver
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER: Fall 2021
DESCRIPTION:
This project was done completely through coding and was by far the most mind numbing yet fulfilling project I’ve endured. For the assignment I had to recreate a character through coding and I decided that I would go with my all time favorite the Iron Giant. It was a brutal process but taught me patience and to love and appreciate the process not just the finished product, something I find incredibly important within our field as creators. Many sleepless nights later and this was what I was left with.

TITLE: BW to Color
MEDIA: Digital Image
SOFTWARE: Adobe Photoshop
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER: Fall 2021
DESCRIPTION:
For this project I had to take an image of myself and convert to black and white and then color it using multiple color pallets. This assignment taught me the values of colors and how they can compliment each other. My favorite part of this assignment was making the backgrounds, I could have used a solid background but wanted to try and get a little creative.
