This project we worked with Davinci Resolve to create different effects through color grading. I loved working on this and seeing how much color grading can change an image for the better. I really enjoy photography and learning different ways of changing an image really expanded my perspective on cinematography and color grading as a creative field.

During this project we worked on Adobe After Effects to recreate our own version of the “Avatar: Way of Water” title. This was my first time using After Effects and creating my own title for a film. I never realized how many little details go into making movie and TV show titles, so it was great getting to create my own. I also loved learning After Effects and seeing how much you can do with the software to create lots of intricate details.

This project we worked with After Effects again but this time to make a greenscreen effect, similar to the ultra-key effect that is on Premiere Pro. I think green screen is a very fun effect to use especially when it’s used to on the subject of the shot and not just the background. I really enjoy the effect the two different shots of water make behind and on the subject.

For this project I had to use a film I had already created and make a director’s commentary for it. I used my final project for Sound, Image, and Motion and talked about the story, techniques used, and the films concept. The create to commentary I used a Zoom kit from the UTampa Cage and as I rewatched the film I wrote down notes of specific details I wanted to talk about then read then over.
