DESCRIPTION: Based off of a true story, a young woman finds an unexpected love affair right before leaving for college. With expectations of a short lived relationship there was little heartbreak once the two separated, until the sudden surprise of a trip to Italy, for two weeks. The girl, Luna, must choose to reopen her feelings towards her awkwardly extended fling, with little expectations, but ends up falling for him again. On her magical romantic trip to Sicily, Luna starts picking up on some inconsistencies and lack of emotion in her partner, and then pieces together the truth of their relationship. Due to the dreaminess and unrealistic conditions of a relationship, Luna finds she has been overly romanticizing her time with him and begins to notice his flaws. As she adjusts her understanding of their dynamic along with their “love” she finds herself in a tricky situation. Feeling uncomfortable and threatened, Luna discovers his immaturity. By the fizzled end of her love affair, and a incredibly confusing departure, Luna has yet another new understanding of her circumstance. Her dreamy boyfriend is still essentially a kid, his actions aren’t anything other than a mirrored image of his subconscious state and childhood trauma. Leading her to arrive home, weeks before college, wondering if.
