The creator of Recyclosaurus, Terry Klaaren, talks about the design, build, and future of Tampa’s iconic sculpture.
I am lucky to have known Terry for over 10 years. He was the first person that came to mind when I was told were going to be making a documentary in class. I started by talking to Terry in a relaxed environment and only recorded audio with the H1N zoom. Then we searched through his photographs. After gaining permission from MOSI we went to Recyclosaurus 3 times. This was mainly due to me redoing shots because of bad audio. The photographs were then recorded to match the story. Because of this documentary he decided to talk to MOSI again. I found out about his new project on my last day of shooting and told him we had to include his message.

The new owner of the South Tampa Farm, Blue, discusses what it takes to run a 5-acre farm in the middle of South Tampa.
Originally this documentary was going to be done on Blue’s Father Marion Lambert, but he passes away in a tragic accident before it could be made. His daughter wanted to make sure that Marion got the recognition he deserved for all his hard years of work and still allowed me to make the film. I am very thankful that opportunity and am happy to be able call Blue a friend.
