At John Marshall high school in San Antonio, Texas, I took a photography class from Mr. Davis using 35mm film on my father’s Minolta camera. In the beginning Mr. Davis made us draw instead of taking photos. This made me see the picture before taking it and “not waste the film,” a lesson I continue to use even with digital pictures. This is a small spattering of photos I have taken around the world in the past few years. The only alteration of the photos are image size.
