The goal of this assignment was to follow a person dancing and make the pieces fit together smoothly. I added a storyline of a woman who used to be a dancer but due to age can no longer dance. While going through her closet of old dance costumes she finds a portal that allows her to dance again. I attempted a Wizard to OZ effect by desaturating the color in the world when she is unable to dance and bringing out the color when she is able to move again.

A dog finds a bone near a military base and it gives her magical powers.

I wanted to push my limits and see if I was able to do any special effects. I learned that a shot list almost become a suggestion when working with animals. It’s also important to film at the same time of day when it comes to lighting. My biggest problem is sound. I noticed my shots in the beginning of the film were very bland due to the fact that I was so worried about getting the sound right at the same time. Once I changed over to the shotgun microphone things became more relaxing. So..how do I hire a sound person for next semester?
