Katherine Gonzalez is a Venezuelan-American designer, animator, and programmer. She was raised in Miami, Florida as a first-generation citizen. Her struggles with cultural diversity and immigration heavily influence her art. Her work in illustration and creative coding pays homage to her family, feminist themes, and morality. Her animation style was heavily influenced by absurdist cartoons and raunchy designs. In high school, she won awards for photography, digital art and television production. She is preparing to graduate from the University of Tampa where she is also an honors student, making the dean’s list nearly every semester. She has years of experience in the design industry and is currently on her third internship. She is working towards her BFA in Animation/New media production and plans to go on to obtain a graduate certificate in Web Design from USF.
