Francesca Ippolito is an Italian-American filmmaker from Baltimore, Maryland. She is a BFA film and media arts student at the university of Tampa, and works at the University’s media equipment cage. She has also freelanced as a production assistant and camera operator. Her experimental film, ‘Through a Screen of Smoke,’ won ‘Best of the Fest’ at the Blackbox Film Festival and was featured at the Gasparilla Film Festival. Francesca’s background in fine arts led her to working in film and documentary where she can combine her investigative nature with her love of art. 

Francesca Ippolito è una regista italo-americana di Baltimora, Maryland. È una studentessa di cinema presso la facolta` di  belle arti  all’Università di Tampa e lavora al magazzino  delle apparecchiature multimediali dell’Università. Ha anche lavorato come freelance assistente di produzione e operatore di cinepresa. Il suo film sperimentale, “Through a Screen of Smoke”, ha vinto “Best of the Fest” al Blackbox Film Festival ed è stato presentato al Gasparilla Film Festival. Il background di Francesca nel campo delle belle arti l’ha portata a lavorare nel cinema e nei documentari dove può combinare la sua natura investigativa con il suo amore per l’arte.
