DESCRIPTION: In this project I was tasked with producing a series concept, pitching it, and then creating an intro credit sequence for the proposed show. I drew inspiration from the “True Detective” series intro, and used keying effects, opacity adjustments, tracking and camera projection tools in After effects to create mine.

DESCRIPTION: This project allowed me to delve deeper into Davinci’s editing and color grading tools. I experimented with different processes and got a deeper understanding of Davinci’s Node-based workflow, getting to experience color grading in day-for-night scenes, track masking for color grading, and applying stylistic choices such as the bleach bypass technique.

DESCRIPTION: I chose to create a director’s commentary for one of my favorite documentary projects – Gluten Free: The Reality. There was a lot of interesting behind the scenes experiences, such as traveling to another state for an interview and dodging film permits. I was able to share my insight on the technical aspects of filming as well and utilizing every available resource I had for the project.

DESCRIPTION: This project involved editing in Avid Media, where I created a trailer sequence from provided footage. Throughout the process I learned the significance of organizing sequences into bins, especially for the case of using flashback sequences. Utilizing Avid’s transition effects, along with other tools like superimposition effects, grain, and B&W, I worked on creating a trailer that would be visually impactful.
