DESCRIPTION: This project was my first time directing and it was for a satirical adaptation of the 1945 “And Then There Were None”. We felt that the mystery could be told through a group of college students who want to join an elite frat society, accidentally entangling themselves into a game of life and death during the initiation process.I re-worked the script to fit our vision, including the decision to present it as a sizzle reel/trailer format in the edit. Additionally, I developed the shot list, blocking for the film, and handled post-production editing. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into the process of directing, particularly the importance of focusing on actor performances and effectively collaborating and delegating tasks to my crew members.

DESCRIPTION: I was DP for our second project in creative triangle, which was a welcomed challenge due to the requirement for the film to be shot completely handheld.  Other requirements were that we could not alter the script, and it had to reflect an “absurdist” genre. We also tried to infuse a vaporwave aesthetic into our design as it is characterized by surrealism, and a critique of consumer capitalism which resonated with our absurdist genre as well as the plot of “The Truman Show”.
