DESCRIPTION: The video “Flowers” is a fictional film, my last project for my sound, image motion class. It’s about a boy, his chore is to check the mail every day. The first time he checks the mail, he sees a flower in the mailbox and becomes enthusiastic about checking the mail. My brother who was eleven at that time was the main character, I was only in it for two scenes: the scene of me going saying yeah or sure when I’m told to check the mail and the scene of me checking the mail looking around for the flower. My mom was in a few scenes when she said “Jake… Go get the mail.” When Jake says no, mom gets agitated and goes to the mail herself. The reason why he stopped going to the mail is because there for some reason has not been a flower in the mailbox, but at the end, he goes to the mail not very happy and when he checks it, he gets a flower, and that explain the happy and relaxing music when he walks home.

DESCRIPTION: This video is an autobiographical film about the Tampa track team. Most of these scenes are going in a fast pace because they are long and they are videos of what we do at practice like running on the track, the coach talking, what our workouts look like, and a gist of what we do at the meets. Some scenes go at a normal pace because they’re short like 30 seconds or less. Like some of those short scenes of other athletes on the team grabbing their shoes, water, or snacks. I added scenes of the women’s 5k at the end of the video because I run for UT, I’m a distance runner, and I ran the 5K that night.

DESCRIPTION: The video “Figure It Out” is an experimental video I made as one of my projects to symbolize stress, anxiety, having a lot to do, and trying to manage it. The all white puzzle is the symbol of how to figure out all the problems I was dealing with, for instance, you see me trying to put together the wrong puzzle pieces in a few scenes, it means that I’m not doing what I’m supposed to do or I’m dealing with what I have on my plate the wrong way. The Captain America fidget spinner is me trying to calm myself down with everything going on. The background music seems to correspond extremely well with the situation in the experimental film, for instance, after a scene of the hourglass, the music starts to sound like I’m in a hurry or gets more intense. Finally, the magnet that I’m holding at the very end of the video that says “YOU ARE THE Peanut to my butter, twinkle in my eye, cherry to my sundae, blue to my sky, flip to my flop, sweet in my dreams, cheese to my macaroni, butter to my jam, glaze to my donut, beat to my heart, milk to my cookie, ice to my cream, spring to my step, best to my friend, love to my life” it’s a symbol that means despite all the stress and having so much to do all the time is manageable, there will always be somebody right there or out there that loves and cares about you.
