The Xerox Project was definitely new territory for me in my Art and Technology class, besides my scanned face for Beginning Drawing. I chose to make my project based off of body image ideals and Expressionism. I constantly heard from both my friends and my surroundings various comments girls made about themselves concerning their weight. Listening to these issues as well as experiencing them myself made me want to use this project to convey a message about the pressures of keeping a small frame. My main challenge with this project was creating something that I both enjoyed and had meaning, as well as making sure I conserved ink and created something that was larger than 2ft x 3ft.<\/p>\n

The Grid Art piece was created for my Art and Technology class. Since I love the Pop Art genre, I chose a picture that was Pop Art-inspired to use as a reference. Choosing my object was difficult because I do not own 900 pieces of anything or had the money to buy that many items. So, I made my grid using frosting dots rather than the colored Benday dots that are often found in Pop Art to recreate the image. The main difficulty was making sure each dot was precise, correct, and representing the correct part of the image.<\/p>\n
