It was a challenge to solely use Photoshop for the production stage rather than After Effects, which is catered more to animation. I spent a lot of time creating the backgrounds for my project in Illustrator to make sure everything looked accurate. Since I wanted to create a narrative, I made a longer video, which took up a lot of time and effort. In the beginning, everything was frustrating because it was all experimental, but after this project, I really enjoyed creating something of my own.

TITLE: Lose Yourself Typography
MEDIA: 2D Animation
SOFTWARE: Adobe After Effects
SPECIFICATIONS: 16:9
CLASS: ART 238 Animation 1
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 16
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
LINK: http://jessanimationone.blogspot.com/2016/12/kinetic-typography-project.html

Using the audio from “Lose Myself” by Eminem, I created this typography project in After Effects. I spent a lot of time creating different graphics for each lyrical phrase. A challenging bump I constantly ran into was making sure that the words could be read since the song is somewhat fast. I learned how important it was to pay attention to the way time is arranged in a timeline.

TITLE: Taylor Swift Commerical – Rotoscope
MEDIA: Rotoscope Animation
SOFTWARE: Adobe Animate
SPECIFICATIONS: 16:9
CLASS: ART 238 Animation 1
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 16
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
LINK: http://jessanimationone.blogspot.com/2016/09/rotoscope-project.html

This rotoscope project has been one of my favorite projects I have created at the University of Tampa.
