In class, we each drew a small portion of a figure without seeing the other parts to\u00a0it. Looking at the sketch that I was given, I decided I wanted a more clean\u00a0and symmetrical look for my exquisite corpse. As well as using gradients to show the change between the alien and the tree stumps, I used a texturized print on the alien and the tree to further display that the alien has tree-like features. I left the alien items, such as the collars and the spaceship, more mechanical and used a gradient to create the effect of metallic surfaces. This project helped me understand the different features that could be used in Illustrator.

This logo was created for my mother’s company, Step With 2. She asked for something that personally connected with her and her husband, as well as embodied the culture of the dance and the group of people that embrace the world of stepping. It was fun to step out of a classroom perspective and create a project that I can call my own.<\/p>\n

Recreating this image became a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. The multiple layers and the details within the image became a lot of work, but I was extremely happy with the way it turned out. This project gave me a newfound love for the Illustrator software\u00a0and inspired me to use the program even more outside of the classroom experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
