DESCRIPTION: A short narrative script that adapted the Japanese film Stray Dog (1949) into a more hispanic lens. Stray Dog follows a rookie detective whose firearm gets stolen, leading to his desperate search to retrieve his gun back. In the adaptation script, I set the story in the 1980s New York, with our rookie cop instead being the son of Colombian immigrants, making his guilt for losing his gun coming more from his responsibility to make the most of what his parents provided for him.
