I was the designated sound mixer and boom operator on set, making sure to record every sound I could find to add to the film’s mix. The film was focused on a man stuck in an endless loop after a night of partying, revealing glimpses of a broken relationship and his struggles with alcoholism.

Eclipse – March 2023

DISPLAY TIME: 0:43 -> 1:32

YOUR ROLE: Director, writer, editor
CAMERA

CLASS: FMX 241 Sound, Image, and Motion
PROFESSOR: Warren Cockerham
SEMESTER/TERM: 2023 Spring semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Eclipse was my group’s narrative project for Sound, Image, and motion. I wrote the script, storyboarded, directed casting and camera movement, and was the head editor. The film follows a young loner who finds himself being recognized by people he’s never met before, leading to a discovery of a double. I was inspired to expand upon the doppelgänger horror trope, wanting to explore the main character’s feelings of inferiority through this doppelgänger. This film was my first real experience working with a crew of people other than actors, leading me to learn how to communicate and collaborate with others.

Melting FaceFebruary 2023

YOUR ROLE: Animator and Director
CAMERA: T3i Canon rebel camera
MEDIUM: 2D animation
CLASS: FMX 241 Sound, Image, and Motion
PROFESSOR: Warren Cockerham
SEMESTER/TERM: 2023 Spring Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Melting Face was a stop motion assignment for the course. I hand drew every single frame and took two pictures for each frame. I decided to take a more surrealist approach to the assignment by creating horrid illustration of a face melting into an unusual object, and with something even odder inside. This assignment helped push me into a territory I had never worked in before, and was an amazing experience that helped me better understand the amount of effort needed to animate.
