DESCRIPTION: Another feature of the MOCHA addon for After Effects aside from creating tracking nodes is the ability to create rotoscoped masks through much the same way, although instead of making simple nodes, it outright crops everything else but the masks from the footage. After given the tools to make a basic composition using 3D Text that would have to be placed behind a mountain and the Jesus Statue in Brazil, I decided to do a bit more by adding both a light shine and a shadow to the text, which necessitated me masking not only the mountain but the entire Jesus statue, as I had only masked the head. This was because the Jesus Statue was looming over the shadows themselves, meaning I had to crop the statue out and place that mask in a layer above the shadows to give the proper effect of depth.
