DESCRIPTION: Due to my preferred medium of animation being stop motion, I own a good number of figurines and toys to use for my animation, most prominently Lego figures. Unsurprisingly, stop motion has also led me to have a deep interest in photography as a whole, one type of sorts that I greatly enjoy being toy focused photography. There’s something about placing a figure in a larger than life environment and seeing it transform through a perspective forced into the scale of the figure. Rocks become cliffs, sticks become trees, and fences become massive pipes running across a Martian landscape. These photos not only focus on the figure and the environments they’re in, but also the story both carry, whether that is the one I establish or the one I allow the audience to create for themselves.
