DESCRIPTION: Little One is a short film created for the final project in my narrative production class. This film was inspired by the film The Kid with Charlie Chaplin because the woman abandons her kid, forgets about the kid, and later on wants the kid back when he’s all grown up. This made me create a different plotline to this perspective of the film by creating a woman who can’t find a man to date her to start a family. She decides it’s better to adopt a kid instead but since she is bipolar her emotions come over her and she keeps going back and forth to whether or not she wants the kid in the end. The character seems like a perfect woman but deep down she is struggling with her love life. The class for this film was good because we had to show different scenes for our film that way we could work for the final project all semester and have critiques for the work we have done that week. It was good to hear feedback and other ways I could do to change the film to make it understandable. The class also offered a variety of forms we needed to do like call sheets, permits, and casting calls.

DESCRIPTION: Far From Heaven is a short film created for the course Creative Triangle. The scene of the film is based on an original script we got from our professor and were able to interpret the scene within a group of just four students. For this assignment, I was wearing the producer hat and it was the best role I got for this project because it is what I want to do for my career path. I was doing all the paperwork needed for the rest of the crew to be ready for the production. I was able to breakdown the script with the director for this film and we established how we wanted to create this and with what tone. Apart from the assignment itself to interpret the scene we also had to use the Dogme 95 rules and blue gels on every scene. The cinematographer wasn’t able to use any stabilizer because it had to be handheld throughout the entire film. It was definitely something different from the usual narratives that I have done with a bunch of stabilizers so it was fun to experiment with this. The class overall was very hands-on since we had to do back to back projects and let us see every department when doing a film.

DESCRIPTION: Legally Blonde is a short film created for the course Creative Triangle. The scene of the film is based on an original script we got from our professor and were able to interpret the scene within a group of just four students. For this assignment, I was wearing the actress hat where I was on camera. It was a drama film where we shot in the Sykes building and the library on campus. It was a good experience because I usually do work behind the camera and it was a nice experience to expose myself to a character in the film. I had to memorize lines and act the way the director told me so the acting can be the way they wanted the film to come out to be. There was a scene where we used a drone and that was a very creative way to do an establishing shot for the location. The class for this project was fun because we got to do projects back to back all semester because these were the main important films we had to create. The purpose of the class made me more secure about my work abilities and let me have a preference on which department I wanted to work on more.
