DESCRIPTION: On this project I was the head of the art department and it was my first time being the head of an art department. My main role was picking out the costumes and also helped with choosing the overall aesthetic and themes of the video. I wanted to create something very fantastical and out of this world grounded in everyday objects and looks from generations and I feel like I accomplished that. From the dated dresses to the space helmet this video truly dissolves in from a real world into a fantastical mess.

SEMESTER/TERM: 2022 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For my final project in Experimental I wanted to create a feeling of a drug inducing trip and overdose using the skills acquired throughout the semester and I did that by using prelinger, chromakey techniques, color correction, along with other methods with a mix of videos taken and found by me.

SEMESTER/TERM: 2022 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For this video I wanted to create a feeling of day dreaming and letting time slip away from you with the passing of it and I feel like I was able to that with this video from the lackadaisical bottle flip, to the driving moments. With the necessary chromakey effect being used it allowed me to create overlays that helped accomplish my goal.

CLASS: FMX 314 Experimental Filmmaking

SEMESTER/TERM: 2022 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This is a stop motion video of a chess game I played against myself. It was the first time I had ever done stop motion and you can tell as it isn’t the best video in the world with bits of choppiness. I realized while doing this how painstaking and time consuming stop motion is and found a newfound respect for the art form.
DISPLAY TIME: 2:17 -> 3:15
TITLE: Prelinger 3
YOUR ROLE: Director, Editor, Voice Actor
TYPE: Experimental
CAMERA: Prelinger Videos

CLASS: FMX 314 Experimental Filmmaking
PROFESSOR: Dana Plays
SEMESTER/TERM: 2022 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: These are three different one minute videos made up of prelinger archival footage. The first is about time and using time manipulation edits to mess and reconstruct time, the second one is a short comedy made up of random footage and intertitles to create a quick war comedy, and the third is a newly created passage by me using random google search questions and answers along with the visuals from prelinger. This helped me learn and see how to manipulate clips and other media to tell a brand new story.

TITLE: Amnesia
YOUR ROLE: Director, Cinematographer, Editor
TYPE: Experimental
CAMERA: Canon PowerShot G7X Mark 3

SEMESTER/TERM: 2022 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This video is meant to create a feeling of someone with amnesia mainly through opacity edits and overlays throughout the day. This was able to be accomplished through similar clips repeating and overlaying but not the same clips from different moments. I also like the ending of this one with the ending being when the lights go off.
DISPLAY TIME: 3:11 -> 4:01
TITLE: BOXED
YOUR ROLE: Director, Cinematographer, Editor

SEMESTER/TERM: 2021 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: BOXED was my first major video of college that I put a lot of time and effort into making something good. I wanted to create a deconstruction and relapse of someone and feel like I did that with the color correction, imagery and sound clips that I used in this film. I spent a lot of time on this piece and is one of my most proud moments of a young filmmaker was this creation.
DISPLAY TIME: 0:44 -> 1:10
TITLE: Outside (Short)
YOUR ROLE: Director, Cinematographer, Editor
TYPE: Experimental
CAMERA: Canon PowerShot G7X Mark 3
SOFTWARE: Adobe Premier Pro
SPECIFICATIONS: 4K, H.264
DURATION: 2’44”
CLASS: FMX 241 Sound, Image & Motion
PROFESSOR: Kris Atkinson
SEMESTER/TERM: 2021 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This was my first film that I created as a film student and is just a compilation of nature shots trying to have a somewhat deeper meaning about how the scariest thing about the outside world is the dirt and stuff that we as humans contribute to it. It’s a cool little film but it’s nothing to special, no spectacular edits and is more of a one after the other clip.
