I have come to an interesting point in my life, as I am currently in the process of finishing my last academic year at the University of Tampa. It’s been a long journey to get to this point, but one that was worth it nonetheless. Since coming to this institution from Long Island, New York I have grown not only as an individual, but as an artist and a leader. I have learned about myself, my work, and others more than I ever could have imagined.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to be in the entertainment business. I was fascinated with television and film starting at a very young age, and loved any and all types of shows. I grew up a huge wrestling fan, practicing suplexes and piledrivers on my 4 sisters in our family living room. Despite my desire to be the next Jeff Hardy, I knew I wanted to do more with my life than be a stuntman between the ropes.

In middle school I acted in plays such as “Annie,” starring as both FDR and a police officer. However, I quickly realized my passion didn’t lie within theater. In early high school I began experimenting with photography and film, and soon found myself in the Film Honor Society. I participated in a summer film honors program at LIU Brooklyn which only sparked more interest in the topic for me. This early experience made me realize my passion for the art, and I knew this was what I wanted to pursue in my college career.

In March of 2016 I was accepted into the Film & Media Arts program at the University of Tampa, and decided to take the risk and enroll into the University. Coming from New York I didn’t know anyone here in Florida, making me quickly realize I needed to get out there and get involved. I decided to rush Zeta Beta Tau and join WUTT: Spartan Radio. This was the best decision I could have made as a young Freshman, as both of these organizations have changed my experience here at UT and have ultimately changed my life.

I have never been one to sit in the back and be quiet. In my opinion I am a born leader, and have a strong passion for helping others. These passions led me to become the Event Director for WUTT: Spartan Radio for both my sophomore and junior year. Within ZBT I have held social media and design positions, and served on the executive board for 2 ½ years: first as Brotherhood Development Director, then Programming Director, and lastly Chapter President, a role in which I am still currently holding.

Now, being 21 years old I have truly come to understand who I am. I have a lot of passions including traveling, fashion, and music along with videography and photography. I have a strong interest in the advertising industry, stemming from my academic minor, and love event planning which can be seen in the positions I have held over the years. To be honest, I’m not sure where I’ll end up after I graduate college, but I hope I have the opportunity to pursue all of my interests throughout my life. I believe I am here to help change the world in a positive way, and this is only the beginning of an even longer journey ahead.
