DESCRIPTION: Do you believe in life on other planets? This project we were to create a poster using vectors in Adobe Illustrator. I used the software to vectorize a photo of myself looking up at the stars, and applied a gradient that is meant to act as a light shining from above. In this case, that line emanates from the text “Believe” at the top of the poster.

SEMESTER / TERM: FA 21

DESCRIPTION: For this assignment we were to take a photo of ourselves and recreate it in Adobe Illustrator using text. The text was to be manipulated around each element in the photo. The text was to be a “letter to yourself.” In this piece I did not show quite enough detail or complexity in the text modification. In addition, I struggle with self reflection so had to resort to using Lorem Ipsum for some of the elements.

MEDIA: Logo/Businesscard
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
HARDWARE: Macbook Pro
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 21
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: My first experience with Adobe Illustrator was this assignment, create a business card and logo. I tried to reflrect my work as a Software Engineer and my “nerdy” interests in this project. The text in the logo is wrapped inside of HTML tags anf the font is representative of an old computer terminal. The HTML tags acted as a great way to tie the front and the back of the business card together.
