DESCRIPTION: Using Photoshop create a representation of yourself that you have never seen before. In my work as a Software Engineer sometimes I feel like my entire life revolves around technology and code. Through layer blending in Photoshop I was able to create a self portrait that represents this. As we move toward a world where Artificial Intelligence is king, this piece serves as a reminder of the fact that people created these programs, and in a way, there will always be a human inside the machine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION: The goal of this piece was to take several images and using Photoshop make it look like you are interacting with yourself. I took this assignment as an opportunity to tell a story in my final image, that of a murder mystery where me, myself and I discover myself dead on the floor of my apartment. Each version of myself was masked out and placed onto a background image. The most challenging of which proved to be the two versions of me in front. I believe the idea of telling a story helped set the bar for this assignment in future sections of Digital Media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION: Take a famous movie scene and insert yourself into it. This project was right up my alley and I knew exactly what scene to pick. In my favorite film, “Back to the Future” Marty McFly is seen filming Doc Brown as he exits the DeLorean. I photographed myself in an 80s inspired outfit to replace Marty McFly. I tediously masked, applied color correction and image filters using Photoshop to try and match my positioning and the color grade of the original image. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION: This project required up to take a selfie and create a black and white version of the image in Photoshop. Then to practice masking and putting together color palettes, we were to color in each of the black and white images using a different palette. This was one of my first experiences masking an image in photoshop. Through this project I learned how planning can really affect the outcome of a piece.
