The audio, titled &#8220;Hyperspeed Stars&#8221;, was previously made in Audacity and got its name from the twinkling sounds that were reminiscent of outer space imagery. For this composition, I decided to focus primarily on building a simple melody up with various different waveforms generated through Max. I originally started with a composition process similar to Submerge, but the end result ended up becoming something greater. The main tracks for this piece reminding me of the sound of underground mining, so that inspired my title and the way I put together the rest of the piece. A number of the tracks I ended up with in Max came in the form of escalating frequencies due to using a virtual keyboard to generate them; this inspired me to arrange the beginning into a fast segment of ascending notes into a rhythm.
