DESCRIPTION: For these concept drawings I first went and thought of other sources of media that used dragons and thought what made them work so well. One scenario that I could not stop thinking about was a “stoic” dragon living his life out on the top of a snowy mountain. My other thought was volcanic, of course. Every scary dragon must breath fire, right? I think that those aesthetic works well with a creature like a dragon, I also tried to add some steps as not only a nod to the spaces you move on the board but also to make it feel like it isn’t only the dragon living so far out in the wilderness.

DESCRIPTION: For my board game design, it was hard to not lean back on some of the classic games that I played as a child. One game that heavily inspired the way my characters would move across the game board was Candy Land. Just like in that, each player would choose a card and move to the corresponding color closest to them. However, I also added special shortcuts you could take that anyone can access, not just those who pick the character spaces. Lastly, my ended squares come with a twist, no matter what color you get you will land on a gauntlet space. This allows players that were behind a chance to catch up and have a chance of winning.
