SEMESTER / TERM: FA 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: In this projection I wanted to display my love for sports with something more virtuous than just showing the sports. After a little while a thinking it came to me. One of the most popular saying is sports is “If you had fun, you won” and I believe this to be true. In many instances playing sports with your friends or family is not about who wins or loses but being able to connect with those around you. The thought of sport unifying others it not new to me, however. Thought my entire life I have been apart of teams for various sports, age groups, and skill ranges. So, because of this I felt it was right to try and encapsulate this into a projection.
TITLE: “Large Scale”
MEDIA: Projection
SOFTWARE: MadMapper
HARDWARE: Macbook Pro 2016
DURATION: 0’32”
CLASS: FMX 463 Multimedia Installation
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For my large scale project I did not have much direction. I was not very sure what I wanted to do with this so I started stacking and moving more objects into the projection frame. After I while I started to add different colored effects and text effects eventually culminating to this presentation. I like what I did here because it takes many separate objects of various shapes and sizes and turned it into a somewhat flat presentation.
TITLE: “Small Scale”
MEDIA: Projection
SOFTWARE: MadMapper
HARDWARE: Macbook Pro 2016
DURATION: 1’00”
CLASS: FMX 463 Multimedia Installation
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Similarly to the “Large Scale” projection, I wanted to use different shaped and warping objects and try to flatten my projection onto them. Using my fragmented video, I was able to paste specific section on specific parts of the projection frame. I like how this projection turned out because of how it combines a day in my life with objects that I would use in my everyday life.
TITLE: “Camera Obscura”
MEDIA: Projection
SOFTWARE: MadMapper
HARDWARE: Macbook Pro 2016
DURATION: 1’01”
CLASS: FMX 463 Multimedia Installation
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This piece is when I attempted to create a Camera Obscura in my room. This process was much simpler in practice than when being told what to do. First I covered up my window with trash bags to block out all light. Next I cut a small hole in the trash bag to allow a little amount of light into the room. This light was then focused through tiny washer. After this was fastened the image that was cast onto the other side wall in my room was incredible and very clear, much more than I was expecting.
