DESCRIPTION: Walking into this scriptwriting class, I was much more confident in my abilities having taken a scriptwriting class prior, but, this time instead of writing a completed story, we were only asked to write the first two sequences of our draft. This was a new theory for writing a script. Obviously movies have points of action but I never thought about how structured it was beforehand. For my script, I decided to write about a group of teenage highschoolers that take a wrong turn and end up in the middle of some mobster operations. They take the choice to help the Don, who in return will provide them protection of consequence. At the end of my script the highschoolers are left with the dilemma of not if they are going to help, but how they are going to help. I really enjoy the creative writing classes and think that the two sequences I have written is quality over quantity.
