DESCRIPTION: This is part A of a two-part final project. For this part, we were tasked with re-creating the cover for any sci-fi novel of our choosing. I chose Hunters of the Red Moon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, one of my dad’s favorite novels. This work consists of elements that I modified in Photoshop from content online, as well as elements I created myself in Clip Studio Paint, such as the foliage and the hills. I compiled and edited the content to create a cohesive image and tried to make everything seem like it belonged together.

DESCRIPTION: This is part B of a two-part final project. The task was to create a poster for a horror movie from classic Hollywood. I chose the film Werewolf of London (1935) by Stuart Walker. I used pictures featuring moments of the movie with actors Henry Hull and Valerie Hobson, then recreated, colored, and modified them in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool. I also referenced an image of the Moon and a clipart image of a werewolf that I took into Illustrator and modified and colored to fit the idea that I had in my head. I also added yellow text with a font that reminded me of old movies right in the middle.
TITLE: Pen Tool Illustration
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator

SPECIFICATIONS: 1224x1584px, RGB, 120DPI
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing

SEMESTER / TERM: FA 21
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Our task for this assignment was to find a photo of someone online that we liked and trace it using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. The point of the project was to practice with using different colors to emulate lighting and shading on a figure. I chose this photo because I like all of the different colors that she was wearing in her shirt and makeup. It was a challenge to recreate this image because of the pattern in her shirt and all of the colors in it, but I was happy with the result. The original photo belongs to the original owner, and this illustration is purely for educational purposes only.
TITLE: Barnyard Illustration
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
HARDWARE: Windows 11 Pro
SPECIFICATIONS: 2200x1700px, RGB, 120DPI
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing

SEMESTER / TERM: FA 21

DESCRIPTION: The instructions for this project were to create a farm scene in Adobe Illustrator using only primitive shapes—circles, squares, triangles, etc. It was a challenge to create the animals using only primitive shapes, but I enjoyed it. I think that the animals came out really cute, and I really like the barn and the Moon as well.
TITLE: Cat Rat Bat
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Photoshop
HARDWARE: Windows 11 Pro
SPECIFICATIONS: 1860x1197px, RGB, 120DPI
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing
PROFESSOR: Chip Neville
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 21
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For this project, we were instructed to create an original animal using parts from other animals. I chose to combine a cat, a rat, and a bat, mostly because I thought it was fun that they all rhymed. Using images of a cat, a rat, and a bat that I found online, I cut and cropped each of the parts that I wanted for each part of my own creature. I took the head of the bat, the body of the cat, and the tail of the rat. I then pieced them all together as layers and then adjusted the coloring, blended the images together, and closed the gaps so that each part flowed together seamlessly.
TITLE: Figures Set 1

SOFTWARE: Adobe Photoshop
HARDWARE: Windows 11 Pro
SPECIFICATIONS: 800X1000px, RGB, 120DPI
CLASS: FMX 207 Digital Drawing

SEMESTER / TERM: FA 21

DESCRIPTION: This is a set of figure drawings I created using Adobe Photoshop. It’s the first of two sets of eight drawings I created. Using subjects I referenced from online, I redrew the models in Photoshop using different shades of gray and the brush tool. I used darker and lighter shades for shadows and highlights, respectively, and tried to draw the figures as accurately as I could. Instead of just drawing the shapes and then coloring them, I used a technique where I layered hatched lines on top of each other. The photographs I referenced from belong to the original owners, and these pieces are purely for educational purposes only.

DESCRIPTION: This is another set of figure drawings I created using Adobe Photoshop. It’s the second of two sets of eight drawings I created. I had more trouble with this set on getting the shadows as well as the models’ hands down accurately. The photographs I referenced from belong to the original owners, and these pieces are purely for educational purposes only.

DESCRIPTION: This is the first of two sets of still life drawings I created in Adobe Photoshop. Using online images as subjects, I recreated them using the paintbrush tool in various shades of gray as closely as I could. I found various images of flowers, fruits, objects, and vegetables to draw. I used the cross hatching technique to create the shadows, highlights, and shapes. The images I referenced belong to the original owners, and these illustrations are purely for educational purposes.

Using online images as subjects, I recreated them using the paintbrush tool in various shades of gray as closely as I could. I found various images of flowers, fruits, objects, and vegetables to draw. I used the cross hatching technique to create the shadows, highlights, and shapes. I was very crunched for time on this set, so there are a couple of images that are not filled out as much and are haphazardly finished in some areas. The images I referenced belong to the original owners, and these illustrations are purely for educational purposes.
