DESCRIPTION: This is my final senior project, a 2D animated short film called Marks. I wanted to tell a story that was personal to me for my final project at the University of Tampa. My film is about verbal and/or emotional abuse, and asks this question: What if verbal and/or emotional abuse left visible marks on its victims, just like physical abuse? This is a story that carries examples from my own personal life, so it was an extremely emotional project for me to work on. I took a lot of time creating an aesthetic that reflected my vision and the emotions I wanted to convey. I believe that this film is a reflection of myself and a projection of my own thoughts and feelings, and I hope that anyone that sees it that might/might have been in a similar situation to me knows that their feelings are just as valid, and they don’t have to put up with this kind of treatment.
