DESCRIPTION: This is the model for the main character of my 3D animated short film Snack. I created this character from an illustration I did for the Inktober art challenge in October of 2022. Using the original illustration as a reference, I created a model sheet for the character, then imported the model sheet into Maya. I matched the dimensions as closely as I could and created the model by starting with a sphere and then working my way down. I then rigged the character’s arms, legs, head, and tail for animation later.

DESCRIPTION: This is a bunch of berries that I modeled for my 3D animated short film Snack. I wanted to create appetizing-looking fruit for the character in my short film that the audience would believe that it would want. I used real berries and grapes as references, then modeled the object in Autodesk Maya using a bunch of spheres and a modified rectangle on the top. I wanted the color to match with the green background and stand out in the film, while also looking natural in the scene. I scaled them to be large enough that the character could hold while also being tempting for the character.

DESCRIPTION: These are environmental elements that I created for my 3D animated short film Snack. I wanted to create a tree, a rock, and a bush that I could duplicate and scatter around the scene to make the character appear to be in a forest setting. Using a cube as the base for all of them, I extruded the edges, faces, and vertices to get the effects I wanted. I tried to be as random as possible when working to create a more natural effect. I then added color to each of them and saved them to put in the scene later.
