In the spring of 2018, I took a very fun and interesting writing class with Dr. Ryan McIlvain. We wrote a lot of short stories.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We were told to write a short story for one of our first projects, to see how our mind worked and using examples from stories we’ve read to improve our writing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A slightly larger piece of work, we were told to follow around different people in real life and write a story about them based on their real-life conversations. The writing was meant to be flip-flop-y, following around different subjects. However, my approach was acceptable, and my protagonist observed multiple people and heard small amounts of conversation per person.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our final project was the largest of the projects we wrote in class. He let us choose whatever we wanted to write about, and I was inspired by personal experiences to write this final story.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
