CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Blanka Roundtree
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This ended up being the last project I made for 210, the ‘Somewhere’ assignment. I chose a shot from the film Baby Driver and edited myself into the frame in photoshop. To do this I took an image of myself wearing relevant clothes, masked myself out from the background and put myself in the movie frame, masking out the shoulder of Kevin Spacey’s character. I did adjust the color of my image to better match. Additionally, I put my a version of my logo on my neck as if it were a tattoo.

TITLE: Sage Boutelle Business Cards
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Blanka Roundtree
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: These business card designs use the logo previously created in the class. There are three different takes on the design, one of which being vertical. My personal favorite is the first one with the blue and pink gradient came out the best as it does allude to the transgender flag color scheme. As my trans identity shapes both who I am as an artist and as a person, it is fitting to begin establishing that in my business card.

TITLE: Sage Boutelle Logo
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Blanka Roundtree
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 22
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: The first major assignment for Digital Media, where I created a design for a logo to represent myself. I took inspiration from the symbols often used for genderqueer and agender identities. As my relationship with gender has changed since this project, I do not think I would have made the same creative choice now, but at the time it came from a personal and honest place.
