I then created a shot schedule to determine an approximation of how long each shot would take to set up and complete. Afterwards, I created call sheets to inform cast and crew when and where to show up. I didn’t have a 2nd Assistant Director, so I worked closely with the Unit Production Manager to keep everything organized and run the set smoothly. On set, I worked with the Co-Directors and Director of Photography to keep the production running on time, ofter having to cut or move shots for efficiency.

This distribution plan is an example of research needed to find the correct platforms that best cater to your project. It also helps having distribution deals before the production of the film because this can provide additional funding. It also prepares your film to be sold to streaming platforms after production concludes. I learned tons about all the different types of distribution deals and how they can help or hinder your production.

DESCRIPTION: In the class, we picked a movie of our choice and we had to break down the Producing process for it. In this case, I chose the movie Ocean’s Eleven. This script breakdown sample is only one page out of fifty that I created for the first fifty pages of the screenplay. Each page corresponds to a scene, but many of the scenes in this movie split into sub-scenes as well, which also require a breakdown each. Script breakdown pages are very helpful to pick out everything that is necessary for each department to prepare for during production. it helps the Producer know what and who will be required the day that the scene is shot.
