Description: For this final film, I’m actually very proud of how it came out! I’ve always wanted to tell the stories of my family, especially my grandmother to tell future generations and I loved how this project turned out. I was able to use my own camera, tripod, and sound equipment. One thing I would change however is the way how I set up the mic for my grandmother. Originally, the way she was sitting with her hair blocked the mic but when she shifted positions, it revealed the mic so next time, I’d keep it hidden since I know more about hiding the mic for productions such as this.

Description: This film is about how students view Plant Park. I filmed this in the rain and when it was bright and sunny, surprisingly it went well considering that this was the first time I asked complete strangers to be a part of my film. I took Professor Walker’s advice about not being afraid to film people and asking for permission to film them. Before, I’d be too timid to do something like that. One thing I would change about this film is that after filming in the rain, my camera lens had water on it. I thought wiping it normally would get rid of the water but it left a smudge on my camera when I filmed in the sunny weather.

Description: On-campus I’m a part of the professional cinematic arts fraternity, Delta Kappa Alpha, the current vice president Chris Young, who’s a Public Relations major allowed me to interview him about our fraternity. This time, I used the Blackmagic Pocket 4K, which does not have the greatest coloring upon filming. Which allows you to color grade in DaVinci afterward. I’ve always found coloring kind of difficult to do after filming with it. This was also one of the few times I’ve worked with it as well so I could fix one thing about this project it would be to properly color grade it.
