Beau Babics is an American cinematographer raised in Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. Beau’s love of filmmaking started in sophomore year of high school when his parents lent him their video camera so he could make short films: he was hooked. Beau now attends the University of Tampa where he is earning a BFA in Film and Media Arts. He specializes in camera operation and gaffing and is trained on the Sony FX9, RED Scarlet-W, and Steadicam A30. His expertise has helped him earn four Black Box Film Festival wins including Best Cinematography and Best Upcoming Filmmaker for his films “Breathe” and “UNI”.
