My goal is to gain employment with the Department of Defense or a Defense Contractor as an IDT (Instructional Design & Technology) professional. Continued development of my technical skills in content creation and Instructional Design, in addition to learning industry standard software and LMS (Learning Management System) platforms, will prepare me for the professional environment that awaits. The skills attained as a creative technologist and new media artist are supported in my portfolio, and directly relate to the creative and engaging content I will continue to make in my future employment. My portfolio contains examples of still images, illustrations, audio, video, creative coding, web development, and interactive installation art. These are evidence of my technical skills using a variety of media, tools, and platforms, in addition to my design and creative skills. These same technical and creative skills, coupled with the IDT concepts and theories I’m learning as a graduate student at the University of Tampa and my 20 years of experience on active duty as a U.S. Marine, will give me what I need to succeed as an IDT professional.
