WORK EXPERIENCE

Creative Technologist               Fairgrounds Projects, Inc., St Petersburg, FL      (JUL 2020 – Present) 

            This position affords many opportunities to plan, design, develop, and produce interactive components for immersive arts installations. In the process of creating working prototypes, I select components, create design sketches, wiring diagrams, and code centered around microprocessors that interact with a wired and wireless performance control network. 

Gunnery Sergeant                     United States Marine Corps                   (1998 –2018) 

            Job titles included Small Ensemble Leader, Enlisted Conductor, Audio Engineer, Percussionist, Supply Warehouse Manager, Public Affairs & Marketing Chief, Producer, Arranger, & Clinician. As a leader in 1 of 10 Marine Corps Bands, played a primary role in planning, coordinating, leading & executing approximately 300 musical engagements a year for 20 years. Trained and led subordinate leaders and personnel assigned to Staging, Lighting, Video, Audio, IT Systems, and small musical ensembles consisting of Rock Band, Jazz Combo, Big Band, Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, Ceremonial Buglers, and a New Orleans Style Brass Band. 

            Served as the Action Officer for numerous significant community relations tours and events throughout the United States to include musical support for the 7-week multi-city commemoration of the War of 1812, Fleet Week in New York City, and several Recruiting Tours with performances at Universities and Theaters throughout the United States. 

            Sought out and exploited new opportunities for performance and exposure while leveraging an increasing social media presence, by advertising and live streaming performances at prominent locations. Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of all professional sound reinforcement, recording, staging, lighting, and video equipment, valued at over $750,000. 

            Planned and implemented a Dante Digital Audio Network, transitioning from Analog and AVB to a true Multicast Audio Network in both live and recording applications, streamlining workflow, equipment needs, and training requirements aimed at mission accomplishment.
