I have always been interested in Illustration and Animation. I always find myself watching all kinds of animated shows which in the long run has significantly helped me visualize what I want to create. Convinced that I couldn’t find any work with my skill, I always kept illustration on the side as a hobby. Realizing graphic design wasn’t for me I decided to focus back onto illustration.

I was very excited when they added animation as a major to the University of Tampa. It was more relative to the field I wanted to be in. Though I was nearing graduation, I felt like it was fate so I switched Immediately.

Though I love to illustrate and tell stories with my art, I am very new to animation. When it comes to content creating in general, I feel that I am weak at managing my time properly. As a self taught artist I also find myself used to working independently. In the future I hope to be able to open up, collaborate and work more with others. I want to be able to find the time to practice working on my weaknesses.

The University of Tampa has a lot of great professors, however two of them stood out to me the most. Dana Corrigan, a kind hearted and talented individual. Dana has helped me bring my characters to life. Her experience in the field of animation is very helpful to hear and helps me focus on where I should improve. Santiago Echeverry is another great professor, his passion and input has driven me to work my hardest on what I do.

After I graduate, I want to find a job in a local animation studio..gain experience and eventually move to a major studio if possible. Ideally I would love to find a position as a Storyboard artist, Concept artist, Character designer or Animator. Along with continuing my Freelance work, I plan to open a Patreon and an official online shop. If time allows me I would also love to go to conventions along side my artist friends and sell my art in the art alleys.
